Are you ready to join billions of players worldwide by taking part in the world's most popular sport?
Learning how to play soccer makes you a member of the globe's biggest community - and the best part is, it's easy to do.
Playing soccer as a beginner can seem daunting, but in fact it is simple to pick up. The game is played by eleven players on each team on a field that, while varying in size, is generally around 115 yards by 75 yards. The object is to propel the soccer ball across the opposition's goal-line into the back of the net.
All you need to play is a marked field, two teams, a soccer ball, and an idea of the laws of the game. Thankfully these are also very elementary for the beginner, at least in their basic form.
There are some complex rules that only enthusiasts and experienced players fully understand, but the beauty of football is in its simplicity. With this in mind, remember a few core rules: only goalkeepers can touch the ball with their hands; when tackling for the ball, if you miss and hit the player, it's a foul; a foul in the defender's goal area results in a penalty kick; and there are corner kicks, goal kicks, and throw-ins, depending on how and where the ball goes out of play.
To learn how to play soccer, then, involves three steps.
Step 1.
The first is to learn soccer's rules: read the Laws of the Game, or at least glance through them. At just 50 large-type pages, this isn't a huge task, and you'll be surprised at some of the soccer laws in there.
Step 2.
The second step is much more enjoyable: sit back, relax, and watch a game! Whether it's online, on TV, or - the best option - in the flesh, there's nothing like getting into the thick of things by watching soccer being played. It doesn't matter what level you watch from high school through to the World Cup as long as it's played on a regulation field by eleven players a team with a referee: the basics are the same all throughout the world.
Step 3.
Then there's the third step: find a local club, pull on your cleats, and step onto the pitch. Most teams have local beginners' soccer clubs for just this, and you will almost certainly not be the only one who is still learning the game.
If you really want to become good at soccer, then practise alot. You can practise by yourself, or with a friend, but even just practising kicking a ball against a wall, or learning how to juggle a soccer ball will ensure that you improve your soccer skills, and will be on the way to becoming a good soccer player.
Lastly when learning how to play soccer, always listen to your coach and to your captain - and have fun!

JT making a miracle recovery
JOHN TERRY could be back in action for Chelsea in just a few DAYS - after predicting it could take several months.(THE SUN UK)
And defensive partner Alex is set to play at Birmingham today despite needing knee surgery.
Boss Carlo Ancelotti said: "I spoke to John and he's optimistic. I think we can move on this problem quickly and get him in the right condition to play."
Brazilian Alex, 28, was expected to be out for up to eight weeks with a knee injury but has postponed surgery to face Birmingham's giant hitman Nikola Zigic.
And skipper Terry who feared he could be out for "weeks or months" with sciatica, is now eyeing a return after a flying visit to a specialist in Milan.
The England star, 29, could even play against Zilina in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Ancelotti added: "There was good news from the visit in Italy - it's a tight muscle, which we have to relax, so the nerve can move without problem.
"It means we have to look at his situation day by day. Today he has pain and will not be involved in the game but maybe it can happen the next game he will be able to play."
The news is a massive boost for Ancelotti whose side crashed to a shock 3-0 home defeat against Sunderland without Terry and Alex.
Ancelotti admits Terry often plays injured but has warned him there can be no more injections to get him through games.
He said: "He'll continue to want to play every game, to work hard every training session. But injections are not the aims of our medical staff. That's not our way."
As for Alex, Ancelotti added: "He will be available to play at Birmingham - this is good news.
"We know he needs to have surgery but now we are in a position where we can delay it."

Soccer Boot - Soccer Cleats. Is there a difference?
Soccer footwear is referred to by many names. Soccer cleats, soccer shoes, and soccer boots come to mind. However, soccer shoes are geared towards playing soccer on turf or indoors.
This information will focus on gear for playing soccer outdoors.
The Playing Surface
When you play soccer outdoors it is important to have the proper footwear for all field types. Whether you play on short grass, long grass, or even some fields that are missing grass in some places. The standard soccer boot that is useful on most surfaces is the molded boot.
This soccer boot type comes with a multi-stud, pre-molded sole of round or blade shaped studs. These will provide the best performance on a number of different surfaces if you can only get one pair of boots.
The larger number of studs spreads the impact of harder surfaces over a greater area of your foot. This will spread the pressure around and lessen the possibility of pain in your foot.
Molded Shoe Problem
The problem with wearing a molded pair of cleats on messy fields is that the larger number of studs will fill up with grass. This could leave you sliding around the field and trying to clean out the muck rather than playing the game. It can also lead to injuries.
Long or Wet Grass
If you are playing soccer on longer grass fields or wet soggy fields you should wear removable stud soccer cleats. These have fewer studs and are easily replaced when they wear out. The norm is a 6-stud model.
This type will provide better grip on slick fields. The lower number of studs will allow you to dig in and get a good grip.
Make sure your studs are tightened firmly, but never force them. You could strip the screw holes by forcing them and ruin a great pair of cleats.
Caring For Your Soccer Boots
Follow these guidelines when caring for your gear and they will last longer for you.
Never Do ThisNo matter which pair that you choose, never play with broken studs, mixed studs, or over-tightened studs. It could be dangerous.

Soccer Shoes Are As Important to the Game As the Game Itself
Soccer is one of the most competitive sports in the world today. There are several aspects of soccer that play an important role in deciding the winner and this includes team performance, individual skills, soccer training, and equipment like soccer shoes. Shoes for Soccer have always been an integral factor when it comes to soccer skills and scoring goals. Of course, the shoes were initially designed to get a grip on the grass field and for hitting the ball hard.
The first soccer footwear were black in color and had black cleats as well. Somehow the black color became the classic color for soccer cleats across the world. Of course, now the colors of the cleats have expanded from black to white, blue, green, orange, red, and other colors as well but the black soccer shoes and cleats are still considered a classic. So where and how did soccer footwear come into being?
The first historical evidence of soccer cleats was observed with the most unlikely player of all - King Henry VIII. King Henry VIII ordered soccer boots from the Great Wardrobe and wore them during football matches he played in 1526. The boots worn by the King were made from leather and were hand-stitched by the royal cordwainer, Cornelius Johnson. Each pair of boots cost King Henry VIII four shillings.
Over the next 300 years, soccer slowly grew into a popular sport and this paved the way for proper soccer shoes. According to historical records, the first classic black soccer boots were noticed in the 1920's. A few years later, the shoe industry was revolutionized by the innovation of Adolf and Rudolf Dassler. The brothers started the Dassler Brothers Shoe Factory (Gebrüder Dassler Schuhfabrik) in Herzogenaurach in 1924. Adolf, also known as Adi had been making all types of sports shoes but he came into recognition when he persuaded US Sprinter Jesse Owens to wear them. Jesse Owens won 4 gold medals in the 1936 Summer Olympics. Later on, Adolf went ahead and created soccer shoes with replaceable cleats. The brothers split in 1947 with Rudolph opening a firm called Ruda, which was rebranded later as Puma. Adolf registered his company as adidas AG in 1949 and thus the story of classic black soccer shoes came into being. During the 1966 FIFA World Cup, 75% of the soccer players wore Adidas soccer cleats and that by all means was a huge achievement for the company.
Since then soccer shoes and cleats have been enhanced to a great degree making them integral to the overall performance of a player. There is more and more innovation involved in the soccer shoes of today with companies trying to create lighter shoes with flexible and controlling cleats. Some of the other top names in manufacturing soccer shoes or cleats include Reebok, Puma, Nike, Diadora, Umbro, Lotto, and Kelme. The soccer shoes of today are the best sports weapon that any soccer player can have in their armory!

Kids Shin Guards Are Usually As Critical As Your Child's Soccer Cleats
Youth soccer has grow to be 1 of the most favorite kid sports in many parts of the entire world. It's fun to play, uncomplicated to learn, safe, and fantastic exercise for kids. It's also a sport that small children can learn to really like forever, particularly given that soccer is so popular throughout the entire world, and can be a sport that a lot of adults really like as well. Should your child has an interest in soccer, nearly all would recommend you completely promote and support their involvement in this wonderful sport.
Playing soccer similar to the majority of sports activities requires right equipment. Yet another advantage from soccer is the fact that it doesn't call for a lot of equipment (in truth, in a lot of areas in the world young children perform literally with their bare feet and whatever clothes they wore to school). Nevertheless most parents will likely be faced with purchasing the minimum set of kids soccer gear, such as kids soccer cleats, kids soccer socks, and kids shin guards.
Much emphasis is put on acquiring the proper child soccer cleats (soccer footwear). In the end, soccer is played with the feet, and therefore the proper shoes are important. You want your kid to own the proper soccer shoes which are secure, durable, and provide them suitable support and traction based on the surface they will likely be actively playing on. Soccer cleats of various varieties commonly have studs on the bottom part so your youngster can have traction on a grass field or turf area (particular kids indoor soccer shoes are built for individuals actively playing indoor soccer).
Nevertheless another soccer equipment justifies as significantly awareness as cleats. You child's shins and lower legs will probably be susceptible to banging and bruising during soccer. Its just the dynamics of the activity. As player thrash and kick on the ball, sometimes they'll miss and engage other participants. That is the reason why in soccer whatsoever levels, players wear shin guards. This can be especially essential with young children, and why in most toddler soccer leagues, kids shin guards are required.
Picking the proper kid shin guards is really not very difficult. You will discover lots of suppliers who make properly beneficial sets which are cozy, easy to put on, and safe and sound. Nike, Adidas, and Under Armour all make child variants of shin guards that cover onto the shins of one's toddler, normally beneath their socks to protect them while in games. Once you purchase them the proper kids soccer socks, they can then basically slip underneath their socks just before playing and be ready to play safely.
Most kids shin guards are produced of two varieties of material. The initial is often a soft foam or rubber on the skin side of the shin. This offers comfort and protection for the hard shin bone which is exposed close to the skin. The gentle materials offers a cushion for almost any careless kicks that wind up on your child's lower leg.
The outside on most shin guards has a second kind of substance which is typically a harder plastic. This really is developed to further absorb any hard blow to the lower leg. Given that soccer cleats have hard studs within the bottom, the hard portion of shin guards furthermore protects the leg from any scraps by an opponent's soccer cleats (is usually extremely painful!).
So whenever you go to obtain your youngster soccer cleats this year, don't forget the shin guards. Your children's shin guards are equally critical as those cleats.

How to choose Quality Soccer Cleats
If you are a soccer player or just playing this game as a hobby then it is quite essential for you to buy some good quality soccer shoes at affordable rates. Well, if you are actually looking for some websites from where you can buy these cleats then I will recommend you read this article. Due to huge and vast choices of soccer cleats, it has become quite difficult for the players to find a reliable store to buy these soccer supplies. You can only buy such products at affordable rates along with good quality when you have adequate information on selecting such items.
Below, a few important points are discussed that can help you to buy soccer cleats easily.
There are some useful points that are helpful to increase the chances of buying comfortable and durable soccer shoes.
1. Manufacturing Company:
The very first technique that can help you to buy a good pair soccer cleats is to go for the perfect manufacturer. Adidas & Nike are the top quality manufacturers of soccer supplies and you can buy very good quality soccer shoes from the outlets of these two manufacturers. Moreover, if you have wide foot then I will recommend you to buy Adidas Soccer Cleats because they are designed in such a way that people with wider foot can feel comfortable after wearing them.
2. Material and Quality of the Soccer Cleats:
Material used to manufacture the shoes also plays a vital role in their durability. Usually, there are two famous materials that are used all around the world. One is pure leather and the other one is Synthetic leather. In my opinion, pure leather is perfect for soccer cleats because it is pure and very durable as compare to the artificial one.
3. Perfect Size:
Yes, size matters a lot while choosing a good pair of soccer cleats because your whole game depends on the size of your cleats. It has been noticed that people do not pay proper attention on the size of the shoes and this unawareness then results in different foot injuries. So, always try to buy those soccer shoes that are completely compatible with your foot size to perform well in the field.
Then, if you are on the market and look for a new pair of soccer cleats there have more factors to consider. The design and shape can affect performance, as well as the quality of cleat can. Nike, Adidas and Puma are the three biggest companies that all sell HG (hard ground), FG (firm ground) SG (soft ground), and TF (artificial turf) soccer cleats.

General Tips on Soccer Cleats
Soccer cleats are athletic shoes that are specially designed for soccer players. Soccer shoes have large studs or cleats on the bottom that assist players in gripping the surface. These studs help players to be easily moved in the desired position.
Generally the cleats are made up of molded plastic because metal cleats are illegal as they cause danger to other players. Plastic studs are round in shape that offers excellent grip on the hard mud of the basepath. Soccer shoes or football shoes can have both plastic as well as metal cleats on the sole whereas golf shoes have metal cleats.
Replaceable cleats are the best option for soccer or football players. Cleats of soccer shoes can be removed and replaced with another kind. Players can choose cleats as per their requirements. These studs or cleats are designed to provide exact traction or grip but these studs should not be so long because extra long suds can pose a risk for the player like knee injury.
Different manufacturers provide soccer cleats of great quality so the players should buy the best fit. Players should keep certain points in mind at the time of buying soccer cleats. They should find a soccer specialty store near their home. Players must know the exact shoe size so that they can play comfortably. They can also get information from the supplier about current and upcoming sales on soccer shoes.
Athletes should use soccer cleats for two or three months before finals. They can easily get all about their shoes with regular practice. They can talk, to salesperson or the coach, about which type of soccer cleats suits them. They must choose few pairs for trail basis and then select the best out of them. Whenever you’re going to try the shoes on, don’t forget to wear socks. You should check whether your heels are comfortable or not.
